Passed to the home of the spirit, from her earthly home, near Manhatten, Iowa, Elizabeth excellent wif eof William Armstrong Swearingen, aged 64 years. Mrs. S was partially raised and married in Ripley Township, this county, where she lived for many years and was known and loved for her many sterling traits of character. Five sons and two daughters respectable and grown to maturity will ever cherish a departed mother's memory with undying filial affection. Mrs. Swearingen was a sister to James F. Hall and Mrs. Mary A. Griffith
